Today is update day! Currently updating my tools:
Eclipse - for coding web stuff.
Inkscape - for vectorial graphics. I use it to sketch up templates for web pages.
The Gimp 2.2.14 - for graphics and images. Useful for getting exported stuff from Inkscape just the way you want it to fit in your page, etc.
Mp3tag - because I can’t live without my music being fully tagged and sorted. Yes, I’m a freak >8D
Flashget - download manager. Now it supports .torrent files, and it’s quite good at it, although it feels a bit buggy yet. Go for the classic version for stability. Or just use wget. heh :D
Btw, check out Ubuntu Studio. Atm their site is down, after a busy afternoon yesterday. Check Ubustu for updated news about it, and mirrors/torrents for downloading.
So far, that’s it. As you can see, it’s all Open Source or Free software, so go on and free your mind. :D

hmm… thinking about refreshing this place…
why? attended take off 2007 and man… that was inspiring, forced me to have another look on my life and projects
at the moment, I am trying out webreakstuff’s goplan, I am watching and installing Ruby on Rails (finally!), reading a lot of blogs out there from the people that were there.
more on this later.

that’s how I am by the end of the day, nowadays, everyday. but no more whining here — time to swiftly random out:
jack johnson rocks. in a slow-lightweight-beach-surf-style way. get his albums, and “curious george” soundtrack. it just gets me in such a light mood, I might just start dreaming awake. (curiously, he does surf, and is a surf films maker - check more on google if you will).
well, at work I get tuned in on some last.fm station and keep it up, mostly sounds that are best described by a tag called “darkpsy” - some kind of electronically generated beats and other sounds - think it’s some kind of trance music style. it’s not my fav sound, but it makes me go mega-ooomph-pump-me-up-scotty-productive. it really does make a difference.
and then there’s coffee. and chocolate. heh, gotta cut on those tho ;(

sql : mydb studio
office : open office
then there’s the windows calculator and paint too ;P
mainly running on windows, got ubuntu on my machine too but atm it’s just gaining dust, although pretty much of these tools run on *nix too…
so there you go, check them out if you will ;)

in the 80s, no one can hear you scream.
dl’ed this 80s best rock tunes pack… feeling a bit nostalgic… great tunes nonetheless… needed an ear freshener, this did it.
tired of the current music streams - went a bit back to the good old days, and there was light! …well, actually, sound.
moving on, went and watched “the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy”, without reading through the book beforehand… now THAT’s a good laugh. and by the way, 42. thinking ’bout buying the book. not the movie-based one tho.
oh well… back to work slave.

hi.
finally found a theme I like for this wordpress-cool-bloggy-thingie.
added some links to some insane people’s rants. hehe. don’t go there.
it’s 9 a.m. so I should be asleep, but no, slave work won’t let me sleep. hehe. sad thing is that we’re in summer vacation. hehe.
